Social networks through a race and class lens

comment on Irina’s post

What I want to say here is that social platforms are not keeping their users in their racial bubble yes social platforms present the opportunity each and every one of their users to be able to express opinions, and point of views regarding their racial background. But they also present the opportunity to their users to be able to escape their social background and to be someone else. It really doesn’t matter what social platforms can and cannot do, what matters is that people have the freedom to be part of any kind of social group despite their own social background. And I think this is a relevant way for people to become more integrated beyond class, race or gender borders.
